You Cannot Receive Eggs with a Full Inventory

You should know that having a full Item inventory doesn't only stop you from receiving Items when you spin PokeStops, it actually prevents you from receiving Eggs too!

Even though your Egg bag may have empty slots left, Eggs are awarded from PokeStops as Items. So you must have empty Item space to be awarded Eggs! Just another reason to keep an eye on your Item inventory level!
